Barclays Upgrade
This phising scam claims to be from a genuine bank informing the recipient that their online banking service has been upgraded and requires you to update your account details. By following the link provided in the email the recipient is directed to a bogus web site that looks identical to the authentic version. However, when you fill in your details to login your information is entered into a database allowing the sender to access your account. You will never be asked for your full PIN number or password by your bank. Most banks and shops use Secure Servers which can be identified by the closed padlock in the lower right corner of your browser and to the right of the address, and your browser will highlight the address in yellow.
